Studebaker Champion
Email us

A very straight, very clean, 1952 Studebaker
Champion. This particular Champion is one of the cleanest that I have
seen. This beauty is being offered for sale from a private collection
that has only the finest of vehicles, they are all inspected and well
maintained and get regular service as required. They are all stored in
a heated, dry, facility and only taken out on nice sunny days.
The year 1952 was the 100th anniversary for the
Studebaker Company. This year brought significant changes to the
Studebaker. This is the first year for a Studebaker to have a hardtop
model and also the first time for a two-tone paint scheme. The
Studebakers took two class wins at Mobilgas economy run; 27.8 MPG for
the Champion and 25.6 MPG for the Commander V8.
This beauty is technically a #2 show quality
car, the interior is the only thing that keeps it from being a #1. The
owner opted to retain the stock interior on this beauty because of its
exceptional shape after 53 years. The only thing changed in the
interior is the carpet. The mileage on the car is believed to be
original, although this cannot be verified, taking into consideration
the condition of the interior and the fact the car still has it’s
original quarter panels this is likely to be true.
EXTERIOR:
A complete SHOW quality paint that is only 3
years old now looks great with no issues what so ever. The body is an
all steel body that was prepared with the utmost attention to detail.
The body still retains the original quarter panels that it came with
from the factory 53 years ago. The chrome and stainless is all in good
condition as is the glass. The tires are in great condition.
INTERIOR:
The interior is all original with the exception of the carpet. The
upholstery is in good condition as seen in the pictures.
ENGINE:
Show condition numbers matching 169 Cubic inch
six cylinder, putting out 85 horsepower. Attention to original detail
is very well done. The factory stock three-speed with overdrive
transmission shifts smoothly like it should. All support systems are
new with rebuild including belts and hoses. All new original style,
single exhaust. All brakes have been inspected and are in good
condition.
UNDERCARRAIGE:
Show condition, detailed. Rear end gear ratio is the stock unit
believed to be 4.55:1
EXTRAS: This
great ride comes with fender skirts and the optional grille guard. It
also comes with a spare. This car is beautiful and there will be no
disappointments here.
